Narcos

Narcos sad story started many many years ago, when he was found tied to the gate of the shelter as a young dog…. that was 2018…. now it is 2025, Narcos face has turned grey, his eyes have collected all the sadness he has seen in 7 long years and he looks at you with his deep eyes full of sadness. But, behind those deep black eyes is a very loving nature, but also a clever mind when it comes to snacks. He LOVES yummy food and snacks and will absolutely play all the “I am so sad and lonely” cards that he has collected over the many years, to make you go to the meat shop and get him a medium well steak, with cream on top. Narcos is very convincing and anyone with a heart will fall in love with his sloppy face! He has lived together with another female dog before, who sadly passed away from illness and ever since he has lived alone. He prefers to be by himself, without other dogs, and for the moment we are looking for a home without other dogs for him. He has spent so many years being surrounded by masses of barking dogs, now it really is time for some peace and quiet for Narco… He doesn’t enjoy anymore walking around the shelter areas, the same roads where he already knows every stone and bush, but he very much enjoys sitting on the sofas areas with volunteers, just to be around people, and he loves to go for adventures and excursions outside of the shelter. He then walks nicely on the leash and listens well to guidelines, though he can be a stubborn boy too! When you take him to a cafeteria, he will quietly and patiently sit and stay calm. Calmly watching you eat and waiting for his plate to arrive too. On the city tours, Narcos is a great boy! He walks by bicycles, cars, scooters, other people without any reaction. Only birds were interesting to him. On the walks away from the shelter, he shows some interest in some dogs, but mostly he just strolls on when he is left alone. When approched by another dog in a very intenstive manner, he gets a bit nervous, so he will be happiest in a quiet area where not all dogs are running loose into each other. Narcos jumps very nicely into the car and behaves really well during travelling. When visiting a home with a cat, he was so excited about the new environment and the all the smells that he didn’t even notice or pay attention to the cat. Of course, this does not mean that he 100% is not interested in cats. When we have an inquiry for Narcos for a home with cats, we will continue to make cat sessions and see his reaction over time. His shoulder height is approximately 52cm. In Spain adopting Narcos would require a PPP license which the shelter can help with, but Narcos is also available for international adoption!
